WILD AND TAMED

SA

We were based in Houghton with Ash. Took a trip down to Ladybrand,picked up Tsikane & Christine...all stayed at Ladybrand Hotel. They really enjoyed it.

Visited with the Viljoens. Ended our trip with a w/e @ Hartees at the vacation home...It was a disaster with the behaviour of his girlfriend.

CARAVAN

Bought an old caravan for storage which still sits in the front yard of Forglen.

MALPENSO

We took a trip, flying out of Edinburgh to Milan. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Malpenso.

Took trips to the lakes,visiting the islands, gorgeous scenery.

OZARKS

FEAST OF TABERNACLES

I travelled to Chicago & then down to Fayetteville in Arkansas, hired a car & stayed in Rogers for the night before driving up into Missourri & to the laked area of The Ozarks.

Stayed at the Thunderbird Inn & enjoyed meeting new folk at my 1st Feast which was held in a country club.

Went for walks each morning down by the river. Computer broke at the airport but I was to buy a Toshiba in Arkansas.

Met with Richard Aymes & Wallace Smith.

Drove back to Fayetteville to drop off car. Syd Kitching picked me up & stayed in their lovely home on the lake. Met his wife Susan & her parents Jack & Ma...cooked for them all.

Syd & I watched some old Rodrigues footage...did some fishing on the dock. Went out for a meal in town & a tour of the area.

Flew back via Chicago.

Great Train Journeys

FUSSY

I had sold my special BAKKIE...had folks calling from all over for this model. Eventually sold it to a chap from Norfolk who flew up to Scotland.

Bought a much smaller vehicle...Ford Fusion. It was fine & did the job but suspension became a problem eventually.

ALBUFEIRA

PORTUGAL

We took a package trip to the Algarve. Took a bus to Glasgow, stayed in the Premiere Inn at the airport & flew out on Easyjet.

We arrived in Faro & then bus to our destination.

Albufeira was put on the map by Cliff Richard & his wine estate.

The hotel was fairly good, food was fair & beer was free. Had to change rooms because of noisy drunk Jocks.

Took a tour bus & walked plenty. Stayed another night at the Premiere before heading home.
