Another trip doing the usual rounds. This time we spent time in E Freestate based in Ficksburg ...at the Highland Hotel... where I bought a flick knive & got it it through customs back home...It sits on display...beautifully made & DEADLY.

Day trips to Clocolan & Fouriesburg

ASTRA

A new car for Charmaine as she had, had another awful crash...this time a dumb farmer had let his horses escape & tried to round them up without help or traffic control. Charmaine plowed into them, killing one & nearly herself...again God was taking care of her. She has not recovered & the ramifications would prove to take a bitter turn in the near future.

NC, TN

We took a trip in the fall connecting in Charlotte,NC for Ashville, a beautiful town in the Blue Ridge Mtns.

From there we went to the traditional lands of the Cherookee.

We also spent a few days in another quiet town of Kingsport,TN where we saw wolves & racoons plus a little restuarant in the converted railroad station serving pan fried cat fish...shouldn't eat unscaled fish & I grew up knowing them as barble....but they were delicious.

The 2 young girls running the place were from Louisiana making a fresh start after Katrina.
