SERBIAN LADIES
As mentioned earlier, I met Tanya from Yugoslavia. She wrote me & I went to visit with her in her home town of Nis in Serbia.
We took the bus to Skopje & on to the beautiful lake of Ochrid in Macedonia. There I tasted eel, drank Rakije & really had a good time.
I went out again a short while later. It was really cheap but the relationship had cooled off.
She came over to England & stayed with me but I realized she was using me to achieve her own agenda which revolved a lot around vodka. You would think I would learn but I was to fall into a similar trap again in the future.
I also helped out with a friend of Tanya's...Nela. She stayed at my place a while after Tanya & I had signed off. I took her to Bath & the West Country as well as to Seaford & Sussex but decided to back off as I knew it would turn out disastrous again. I found out Nela was living in California but after researching further found she had sadly died in 2011. She would have been 47. Both had been psychology students
YORGO & IANNIS
I met George in B'ham & we became good friends. He played music at various Greek resturants.
At one time he & his girlfriend Maria stayed at my place. He was interested in video & studied at college for qualifications. Although he was already a qualified electrician.
We took a trip to Greece to visit with his family. I got to see Kavala in the north & Athens as well as the Acropolis.
We became very close & came from the same intense & loyal character that personified our nature. I must say I came to enjoy many things Greek.
We kind of went seperate ways through circumstances. He moved to Spain & I did communicate with him there
Iannis was married & a highly qualified traffic engineer. He was layed back & a gentle soul. He stayed at the YMCA. His wife & young daughter did come over for a spell but didn't settle
I lost touch with him sadly although I believe he had moved to London
BEARWOOD
Tanya's antics got me thrown out of my home in KH...probably should have thrown her out earlier.
I found a place with lounge/diner,bedroom & bathroom...quite nice but a step down.
Often found parking difficult as the area was pretty built up.
We got a kitten from a shelter which Tanya named Mashinka. When she left she took him to stay with a bloke nearbye. After Tanya went back to Yugoslavia, Mashinka stayed with the man & I believe was happy there.
BRUM SUPER PRIX
Through the streets of the city...something I believe has continued through the yrs sporadically.
Nigel Mansel..a local was doing announcements.
AGENCY TRUCKING
Did a bunch of driving to local, county, into Wales ,Cambridgeshire,Norfolk & other multi drop work...really hard work & driving monster trucks, some without tail drops!
