An early trip this time...

Flew down to EL & drove up to KWT on a scorching day to see Agnes Victor. She was 92 & in a home...did not recognise me. I kissed her goodbye...She died in April.

Down to Cintsa East to stay with Dave Hepburn. We had braais & visits to friends...just really thrived in that wonderful location.

MOVE TO BANFF

When we returned ,I was transferred to Banff, the coastal town nearbye.

I would often team up with Julie who was based out of Buckie up the coast

NEARLY GONE...& SAXO

It was time to get Char another car & I bought a golden Citroen Saxo  for her which suited her well.

Sadly she was not a good driver & left the road a few times. I had to do the repairs & paint jobs.

This stemmed from the when she took on the Almeira & was headed for a shift in Inverness. She spun on a corner & landed in a field still on her wheels...It was a miracle she had not rolled.

She was unhurt but the car was declared a right off.

PROTEA...BABY

After Pepper went we were promised a kitten from an impending litter by a friend.

The mother had Main Coon & the father was Tabby.

Protea was in a litter of 4 & immediately the adventurous one.

Georgia & her took to each other & became very close. It also brought Georgia out of her depression.

Baby was always looking to escape & was climbing the fence or bushes & trees.

We had decided to keep the cats safe  so had built a cat fence which looked more Heath Robinson from all the re-inforcements from where P had made her escapes...she would  look at me patching up & then once I was back indoors find her place of escape & look at me satisfied from the outside...I was now trapped on the INSIDE.

She showed extreme intellengence early on & had her own vocab for us.

She has continued to be the most delightful, loving & tenacious sweetheart

PENSECOLA

FLIGHT: We were delayed leaving Aberdeen because of a European storm. Consequnetly when we did get to Amsterdam we missed our connection. We were re-assigned a flight to Memphis ...There we re connected back to Atlanta but had missed our connection to Pensecola.

We stayed the night & caught an early morning shuttle to the Gulf Coast...minus our luggage. The airline was great & 2 days later delivered it to our motel.

In the mean time we had gone shopping, much to the delight of Char. It was Black Fri. so plenty of deals

MALIBU: our rental was a Chevvy & one of the best cars I have had.

CSE: We had been supporters of Christian Science Evangelism but have since realized there was error in their theology. Never the less Kent Hovind was a great communicator. There have been huge changes on a domestic level there which is sad.

TOUR: we toured the area stuffing ourselves at buffets & enjoying the ocean.

BLUE ANGELS: We visited the famed Training Flight School & Squadron with its fantastic Flight museum.

AL, MS: We also took trips into Alabama & Mississippi...at one point passing a penetentiary who were wearing the same hooped shirt I had on...I ducked & quickly put a jacket on,sweating back to Pensecola.😲
