WILD AND TAMED

SA

Made our annual sojourn & based our time at Ponte in the clouds.

Had dinner with Ash at Gold Reef City. Took a trip south to George with a stop on the way at a lovely OFS town with that olde worlde SA feel...at Edenburg Country Lodge.

Drove on to George where we stayed at Mt View Resort. Had a lovely dinner at a steak house.

On to PE where we stayed at Kevin Golightly's home before on to KWT to see Agnes Victor & a lunch at a local diner.

Drove down to Gonubie where we stayed with Rose & Mollie before the journey home with a stay at Lilieshoek in Ladybrand.

Visited with the Viljoens in Bethal & spent time with the Percis at Walkerville

YES

Rejoined the school working at both the junior & senior sections. Made some good acquaintances

SPAIN

Flew into Barcelona,picked up a rental & headed for Lleida where we did a Formula One.

Basic town but we were upset by cows in a truck parked over night.

Then on to Teruel nr Alicante where we stayed in a swish hotel.

Refreshed, we moved on to Valencia...all Char wanted were white boots...She now has 4 prs!

We found a quaint, quiet place just off the highway in the country.

Sadly the Spainish culture of animal cruelty disgusted us with kids tormenting bulls keeping us awake as well.

Back up to Barca where Char got to experience the Ramblas & all the sights.

CHEF

Did a diploma course at the local college;for chef training .

Learnt a great deal but kitchen politics & the frenetic state was something I could not stomach🤪

Also did a further teaching dip from a school in Glasgow

INVERNESS

We took a flight up to a most beautiful part of the world...capital of the Highlands in Scotland.

We did the Loch Ness cruise with all the atmosphere on this huge & deep lake...then a Moray Firth cruise...no whales or dolphins.

We walked everywhere from our home which was a B&B just out of town.

We did a bus tour & enjoyed this lovely small city.

Our vow to return would take on more than we imagined.
